About J. Mosqueira

>> en galego >>

- PhD in Physics from USC in 1997 (cum Laude and PhD Extraordinary Award). My Thesis, directed by Professors Félix Vidal and C. Torrón, is about fluctuation and disorder effects in high-Tc superconductors.

- Between 1999 and 2000 I conducted postdoctoral stays at the Ecole Normale Superieure (Paris) with a grant from the Caixa Galicia Foundation. My research there, led by Prof. Yvan Simon, was about surface pinning in low-Tc anisotropic superconductors.

- Since 2003 I am Associate Professor in the Department of Particle Physics of the USC.

- My research focuses on different experimental aspects of the physics of low- and high-Tc superconductors. I co-directed 5 doctoral thesis and I am co-author of 79 articles in international journals (including 4 Phys. Rev. Lett., 20 Phys. Rev. B), 4 book chapters. I have participated in more than 20 research projects.

- Latest Collaborations: Prof. Thierry Grenet (Institut Néel, Grenoble), P. Bernstein (Crismat, Univ. Caen), D. Pavuna (Ecole Polytechnique Federale, Lausanne), S. Salem-Sugui (Univ. Federal do Rio de Janeiro), Huiqian Luo (Beijing National Laboratory for Condensed Matter Physics), and the group of Prof. Y.S. Kwon (Daegu Institute of Science and Technology, South Korea).

- Medium/long-term interest: properties of micro- and nanostructured superconductors, practical applications of high-Tc superconductors

Rev. Lett. e 20 Phys. Rev. B) e 4 capítulos de libro. Participei en mais de 20 proxectos de investigación.

- Colaboracións máis recentes: Prof. Thierry Grenet (Institut Néel, Grenoble), P. Bernstein (CRISMAT, Université de Caen), D. Pavuna (Ecole Politechnique Fédérale de Lausanne), S. Salem-Sugui (Univ. Federal do Rio de Janeiro), Huiqian Luo (Beijing National Laboratory for Condensed Matter Physics), e o grupo do Prof. Y.S. Kwon (Daegu Institute of Science and Technology, Corea do Sur).

- Interese a medio/longo prazo: propiedades de superconductores micro e nanoestructurados, e aplicacións prácticas de superconductores de alta Tc.
