About J. Mosqueira

>> en galego >>

- Doctor in Physics from USC in 1997 (cum Laude Suitable and PhD Extraordinary Award). The thesis was directed by Professors Felix Vidal and Torrón Carolina, and its theme was the effect of fluctuations on High-Tc superconductors.

- Between 1999 and 2000 I conducted postdoctoral stays at the Ecole Normale Superieure (Paris) with an aid of the Caixa Galicia Foundation. Research there, led by Prof. Yvan Simon, it was anchored surface vortices in anisotropic superconductors of low Tc.

- Since 2003 I am Associate Professor in the Department of Physics of Condensed Matter.

- My research focuses on various aspects of experimental physics of superconductors low and high Tc. On that subject I co-directed 5 doctoral thesis and I am co-author of 75 articles in journals international (including 4 Phys. Rev. Lett., 19 Phys. Rev. B) and 4 book chapters, and 59 conference contributions. I have participated in 20 research projects (national 7, 11 regional, 4 Europeans, 1 private entities).

- Latest Collaborations: Prof. Thierry Grenet (Institut Néel, Grenoble), P. Bernstein (Crismat, Universite de Caen), D. Pavuna (Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne), S. Salem-Sugui (Univ Federal do. Rio de Janeiro), Huiqian Luo (Beijing National Laboratory for Condensed Matter Physics), and the group of Prof. Y.S. Kwon (Daegu Institute of Science and Technology, South Korea).

- Interest medium / long-term properties of micro and nanostructured superconductors, and practical applications of high-Tc superconductors

Federal do Rio de Janeiro), Huiqian Luo (Beijing National Laboratory for Condensed Matter Physics),e co grupo do Prof. E.S. Kwon (Daegu Institute of Science and Technology, Corea do Sur).

- Interese a medio/longo prazo: propiedades de superconductores micro e nanoestructurados, e aplicacións prácticas de superconductores de alta Tc
